As presented to SCA members on August 30, the SCA Board of Directors, led by President Pamela Chng, nominated a group of seven professionals from a pool of dozens who responded to our annual call for nominations made in June. As the number of candidates this year is equal to the number of open seats, there is no need to proceed with a voting process, and the SCA Board has confirmed the seven professionals listed below as members of the SCA Board of Directors, in accordance with Section 7.4(f) of the SCA Bylaws.

Today, it is my pleasure to present the slate of candidates for the 2026-2028 SCA Board of Directors elections. The Nominating Committee, chaired by SCA Board President Garfield Kerr, has put forward the following professionals after an extensive interview process with the dozens of SCA members who responded to our call for nominations made in June 2025. 

The Specialty Coffee Association is now accepting nominations for the 2026-2028 SCA Board of Directors.  The SCA will announce the slate of candidates selected through the interview process by Friday, August 28.

Nadine Rasch, CEO of Primavera Coffee, has been selected by the board to serve in the role of 2nd Vice President.

As the number of candidates this year is equal to the number of open seats, there is no need to proceed with a voting process, and the SCA Board has confirmed the four professionals listed as members of the SCA Board of Directors, in accordance with Section 7.4(h) of the SCA Bylaws.

Today, the SCA announced the slate of candidates for the 2023 SCA Board of Directors election. The Nominating Committee, chaired by SCA Board President Konstantinos Konstantinopoulos, has put forward a group of four professionals after an extensive interview process with the dozens of SCA members who responded to our call for nominations made in June. In addition, each year, the Board of Directors elects a 2nd Vice President, who serves an additional term of three years to ensure presidential succession. Andrew Tolley, Director of Tolley Coffee & Tea, has been selected by the board to serve in the role of 2nd Vice President.

The SCA’s Cupping and Grading Protocol has become the universal language of trade within the specialty coffee community, which is critically important to coffee producers, traders, and roasters, as well as the skilled professionals who work within the value chain. Today, we are announcing that we will appoint a task force to help build a stronger, more accessible, and more transparent system for coffee cuppers and graders.

The Specialty Coffee Association announced today that Garfield Kerr and Cosimo Libardo, two members of the 2023-2024 Board of Directors, have been elected by the current SCA Board of Directors to take on roles as SCA Board Officers in the coming year.

Members of the Specialty Coffee Association have cast their ballots in the elections to fill five seats on the Board of Directors in the 2022-2023 cycle.

The 2019 SCA Board of Directors elections will open Friday, November 1, and close on Saturday, November 30, 2019. 

SCA Board Vice President Juan Luis Barrios, Second Vice President Konstantinos Konstantinopoulos and CEO Yannis Apostolopoulos will host a conversation with the six professionals who were chosen after an extensive interview process to fill the final ballot in the 2021 SCA Board of Directors election.

As announced in August, the SCA Board of Directors Nominating Committee, chaired by Board President Colleen Anunu, proposed a slate of professionals to fill five seats on the SCA Board in this year’s election process. Today, we are announcing the final ballot in the 2021 election, with Giovanni Fucili, Sales Manager at Simonelli Group, joining the slate as a petition candidate.
