The Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) is the largest global coffee trade association dedicated to making coffee better by fostering a global coffee community and supporting activities to make specialty coffee a thriving, equitable, and sustainable endeavor for the entire value chain. Through collaboration and progressive approaches, it supports the industry through research, standards, education, and events. Working around the world, the SCA elevates worldwide standards, providing value and connectivity to the growing global community.

Driven by the SCA’s sustainability agenda, which emphasizes equitable value distribution throughout the supply chain, the system aspires to be a powerful tool to help measure and facilitate value assessment and distribution. It simultaneously integrates advances in sensory and coffee science, making it compatible with scientific research for the first time.

Demonstrate your expertise and readiness for industry leadership with an SCA Skills Diploma, designed to recognize comprehensive knowledge across key areas of specialty coffee

Q-Grader Program

The evolved Q Grader license is the first and only education program built on the Coffee Value Assessment (CVA). Upon completion, students will become licensed Q Graders.

Become an Educator

More than 1,800 independent educators deliver SCA education program courses in locations around the globe. These include Authorised SCA Trainers (ASTs) and Registered SCA Instructors.
